Basketball & Enchiladas???
We just finished an awesome dinner of Chicken Enchiladas. Yummy...It was my recipe of the week. So now we are sitting here with full tummys watching the Cavs beat the Bulls in what is hopefully the last game in this series. It has been super hard on Jeff and I, Your two favorite teams should never have to play each other in the playoffs. Making it worse we were lucky enough to be given two tickets for the game in Chicago on Sunday. We had a ball - but took alot of flack for our Cavs gear, at least until the middle of the 4th qtr when all the Bulls fans left. It goes without saying that getting out of the parking lot was very easy that afternoon. We had pretty good seats and before the game we went down to like the first row and watch warm-ups. Shaq is as big as a house. I couldn't believe it. I have a ton of awesome pictures. Also, one of my favorite actors and Chicago native Jeremy Piven was in the house. I love him. Tons of pictures of him too!

My Summer Resoultions
I believe that summer resoultions are more important that New Year's resolutions. A good summer can change your life. So below are my resolutions for this summer.
1. Beautiful, warm evenings shall be observed by sitting on the deck or enjoying a stroll.
2. Meat will be grilled, as often as possible.
3. Housework will be done when it rains, or in case of emergency.
4. Night swimming will be done reguarly.
5. Night races will be celebrated by steaks on the grill. Expect for the one we will be attending, that race
shall be celebrated by grilled sirlion burgers from the guy with the stand between the ears of corn and the
pretezel guy.
6. Funnel cakes will be consumed.
7. Pantyhose and tights will be stored away until winter.
8. The DVR will be full when we reach fall.
9. I will worry less about what my house looks like when I have company, and worry more about enjoying
them.
10. The windows will be open wide, that is until the temp. is over 70 degrees at night!

I'm Back......
So sorry for the lack of being in touch lately, we have a case of the too much too do - no time to do going on at our house, though it seems like we are coming out of it. The weather has been great here lately and we have been trying to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
So we got a rare opportunity a couple of weeks ago, from some new friends (Jeff is working on their new house). They offered as their 14th row tickets for a Bulls game. We had an awesome time. So as I was taught as a young child I wrote them a thank you note telling them what a great time we had and how happy they were that we thought of us (there was suppose to be an accompanying pineapple upside down cake, that meant with an untimely end). I was shocked when Jeff told me about the conversation he had with the husband. He more or less thanked us for the thank you note. Really? They said that they have given these tickets to many people in the past and never received a thank you note. Again, really? Here is my rule of thumb regarding thank you notes. If that little voice in your head says "I should really say Thank you for that." Do it. No one will think you are silly or dumb for sending one. However, people will think you are rude if you don't.
So Happy Wedding Season! April 5th was the official beginning. As a want to be planner I'm very excited. This season I plan on working hard to learn and build my portfolio to get where I want to go! So I try to read this on the industry stuff and get alot of information on trends. So I've noticed that a big trend seems to be 'registering' for non traditional items. I remember thinking that it was cool that my cousin and her fiancé had registered at Home Depot. Now there are tons of things that you can register for. In the last week I've read about couples being able to register for everything from meals at high-end restaurants to honeymoons. I have a friend who says that she thinks that people don't like to give these types of gifts. I don't know, I wish that I had been brave enough to try this when we got married, although I do love all of my awesome Crate and Barrel stuff (and yes I sent out thank you notes). My opinion is this, many people are waiting later in life to get married, and they have already established their households. Maybe wedding gift giving needs to get out of the fifties. Let me know your opinion, either leave it here or on Facebook.
So I've been continuing with my recipe a week thing and it going really well. Tomorrow I'm roasting a chicken. Although this is not the first time I've done this, I'm hoping it will be the first time I've done it successfully (we ordered pizza the last time). I'm actually trying two new recipes tomorrow, breakfast burritos in the morning. Let's hope we get up before noon....
