How did last week go? I have really enjoyed taking a week off, but now it's time to get busy!
Halloween is next week, so I hope that everyone has their pumpkins, it's now a good time to crave them. I noticed when I was a Target that they have this neat Mr. Potato Head things that you just have to stick in your pumpkin, this is a great idea especially for little ones.
How cute is that? Easy, not messy.. If you are wondering what to do with all the pumpkin seeds. Check out my post from last year, it will help you clean them out, and bake them for use later this holiday season. See Get your Spooky On.
What to do this week?
1. Make a list of the items that you want to buy on the Halloween clearance sales next Wednesday.
Did you see some decorations that you like (that you would never pay full price for).
Candy that you will use in your Thanksgiving and Christmas baking. Think Hersey Kisses, mini
peanut butter cups, etc..
2. Make out your menu for Thanksgiving. Every year I try something new. Somethings have been
successful, some not so successful (think cranberry jello mold), this is what I'm trying this year.
Sweet Potato Cheesecake. Check out the recipe on Betty Crocker.
3. Work on the design of your Christmas card. Does this mean that you will need to schedule a photo session for a new family picture or a trip to the craft store for supplies (or to Target for a box or 2!)
So, that is not too bad?
Have a Great Week. By the way, I would love to see pictures of everyone's pumpkins and Halloween decorations and costumes! Please send them my way (cynfullywonderful@gmail.com) and I'll post them in next weeks column!
