Easy Breakfast from the Crockpot

I am not great about eating breakfast.  I know there is big debate out there if you need to eat breakfast or not.  I know that I need to or my morning at work is going to be the worst.

Seriously, hangry is a real thing for me.

I also know that I need a good, fast, and hopefully hungry breakfast.  It has to be something that I like so I will actually eat it.  I am not one of those people that wake up hungry in the morning and if I am it means that I didn't eat great the night before.

Surprisingly, I have love oatmeal.  By no means do I like oatmeal more than egg sandwiches, but oatmeal is a better long term solution, and probably better for me.

I will typically make mine in the crockpot on Sunday and then heat it up in the microwave each morning.  Now there is a TON of recipes out there for oatmeal in the crockpot.  Below is the basic recipe that I use.  Then I fill it with raisins (both golden and regular), apples, cranberries, whatever sounds good.

1 Cup of Oatmeal
1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce
2 TBSP of brown sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Nutmeg to taste
1 TSP of vanilla
1 TBSP of honey
1 1/2 cups of milk
All the fruit you want

Spray your crockpot liner.  Dump everything in, stir.
Cook on low for about 1 1/2 hours.

I will usually heat up about 1/2 cup of each morning in the microwave for about 30 seconds.  Quick, Easy, Delicious.  Checks all the boxes.

Enjoy!
