Easy (and cute) Halloween Crafts
It is officially October! Time to start decorating for Halloween.
Here are 2 really cute and quick crafts that would be a fun project for the family.
Witch Wreath
This cost me $4 dollars and 20 minutes of my time.
What you will need:
14" wire wreath
Black plastic table cloth
Witches Legs
Witches Hat
Tacky Glue
Hanging Ribbon
Clothespins or sewing clips
How to do it:
1. Start by attaching your hanging ribbon to the wreath, securing it with tacky glue. It is so much easier to do it before you start and then it is a clear marker as to the top of the wreath.
2. Attached the legs. These were originally some kind of doorknob hanging, so I separated them from the ring and the looped them around the wire wreath, attached them with tacky glue, and the secured them in place with sewing clips (you can also use clothespins).
3. Next is her cape. I used a black plastic tablecloth, I cut off 1/3 of it and then cut a free form wave it. to attach it to the wreath, fold it over the wire wreath and tacky glue itself.
4. The most important part, attach her hat! Line the hat with tacky glue and attach it to the cape.
I always let projects that require alot of glue to dry for 24 hours, and then I hang them up.
Pumpkin Flowers
These are cute just to sit out in your kitchen or living room. The whole project was $5!!
What you need:
Floral block
Mini plastic pumpkins
Black (plastic) roses
How to do it:
1. Cut pieces of floral block to fit in the pumpkins. Make sure that you cut them on covered surface, they make a mess. I find cutting them with a seared knife is the easiest way to cut them. Insert the floral block into the pumpkin.
2. Remove the bloom and leaves from the black roses. Push the bloom into the floral block and insert the leaves around the bloom.
Done. Easy. Cute.
